Dancing

I am so glad that Teresa brought up the dance. That is and always will be my favorite memory of them together. I think I knew them better than any of the grand kids and most of my memories are of them individually, however I remember the Lawrence Welk show. :)
We used to have to watch that show every night, without fail! They would never miss it and they really enjoyed that time together. You could physically see them become younger as they entered the memories of their youth. They used to talk about dancing with such affection and warmth. I never thought I would actually get see them do it though. That family reunion was one of the most attended ones that we had. I think that Grandma and Grandpa wanted to share that part of themselves with as many of their legacy as possible. I remember being out by the fire and hearing the commotion in the house. We all went in to see what was going on and I heard someone say "Grandma and Grandpa are dancing" I was so excited that I pushed my way through the group until I could see. I will always remember the expressions on their faces. So in love and carefree... and truly blissfully happy. That moment has always been my inspiration for finding true love and commitment.

Yes, I remember them dancing at Gold and Green balls. They were very much in love, and it showed as they danced.

Thanks, Amy!
